A passionate autodidact (self-learner) and natural leader, I wish to help everyone learn and achieve the greater successes they desire. This has thus far manifested itself in my involvement in education and skills competitions. Through my career at ConsuLab and for the past 15 years, I've worked with myriad educational institutions, private companies, non-profit organizations, and various levels of government, with the goal of finding or developing the right product to help technicians learn the right technology, for the right reasons, in the most efficient way possible. My passion extends to skill development and valorization through the various provincial, national and Worldskills competitions for which I've participated as a competitor, and since written, created, judged, and organized. My work has brought me to participate in program developments, reviews, public tenders, and policy consultations. My voice, vision, and experience have been shared through panel discussions, keynote speeches and interviews. Throughout all of this, I believe that I've been able to positively impact the automotive and heavy truck education system across Canada and the United States. In recent years, the focus has shifted to environmental and energy changes and causes, all relating to the motive power industry. I spend much of my time researching and thinking of how we will teach the next generation of technicians how to work on vehicles that are more electrically driven, more autonomous, and forever changing. I am forever delighted to take a virtual or in-person coffee to discuss education, skills competitions, the automotive industry/technology, EVs, autonomous vehicles, and of course new ideas.
