Nathan often compares his life to a triangle: in one corner is his career, in another is his band and lastly are the people he loves. After graduating from Bishop Hendricken High School, he first perused a career in music teaching music lessons for 10 years while playing in several local bands and attending Rhode Island College for music performance. Later, he changed majors graduating with a bachelor’s in finance. Nathan became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in the summer of 2018 and more recently a Certified Investment Management Analyst® in 2022. He has been a regular contributor to the Moneytalk radio show since 2016 hosting the program Tuesday through Friday night. Every Wednesday evening, he produces a segment on financial and economic history. He also produces a monthly podcast called Financial Context which focuses on his passion for history. In his spare time Nathan runs a band called Funky Submarine which plays music written by The Beatles – but in ways you wouldn’t expect. The group is known for its funky grooves and jazzy harmonies which features a horn section and vocals. He maintains a wonderful co-parenting relationship with his ex-wife Heather and loves to spend time with his girlfriend Jenna and her son Michael. Jenna sings and plays trumpet in Funky Submarine.
