Nathan worked at GHD as an undergraduate mechanical engineer, whilst he completed his MPE at UWA. Upon completing his Masters degree, Nathan was accepted into the graduate program.

Nathan successfully participated in a 12-week vacation internship program, as a member of the Materials Handling team, within the Mining & Resources business group at GHD.During his time in the program, Nathan was exposed to an array of projects, giving him experience in technical, design, project engineering and administrative tasks. Nathan also assisted with proposal work.

Nathan gained experience by completing mechanic duties alongside Brett Lupton, the owner of Fastlane Racing and former Leyton House F1 mechanic.During this time, Nathan acquired knowledge of the technical side of Formula Ford and Excel Cup race cars. He learnt valuable skills and completed various duties, including but not limited to:– Race weekend duties, including:  Typical number 1 race mechanic tasks.  Vehicle dynamics interpretation and analysis, using MoTeC and AiM software.  Suspension setup, analysis, and tuning.  Driver development mentoring and coaching.– Developing and improving overall vehicle dynamics and performance, including:  Suspension setup and tuning.  Component design, manufacturing and fabrication.– Understanding the importance of preventative maintenance, including:  General vehicle assembly, disassembly, and repairs.  Engine and gearbox assembly and disassembly.  Bodywork repairs, painting, and vehicle livery installation.– Being proactive and using initiative to solve problems.– Being meticulous and maintaining a precise attention to detail.Nathan obtained all this experience whilst simultaneously racing in competitive motorsport. He has competed as a driver in both Formula Ford and Excel Cup State and National Championships, in his own self-owned and operated motorsport team, from 2018 to present.

Nathan has experience in automotive retail, which helped him gain extensive automotive product knowledge. He is proficient at using the OSCAR software infrastructure, which is utilised for vehicle parts searching. This enabled him to acquire specialist skills as a parts interpreter.During his time at Supercheap Auto, Nathan promoted to a supervisory role, where he successfully managed store employees, and communicated effectively with customers, without difficulty.

He also attained extensive product knowledge, which enabled him to become a top salesperson in WA, with the highest customer promoter score in his store. Nathan is also familiar with using the SAP software infrastructure.
