Nathan led Chevron’s enterprise-wide team of economists, traders, engineers, policy analysts, and market experts in forecasting global energy demand and the evolving energy mix. His work advises company executives and senior leadership on developments in energy markets, policy initiatives, and long-term forecasts. He is also involved in developing corporate strategy, competitor intelligence, and preparing executives for board, internal, and external engagements.

Between 2018 and 2020, Nathan coordinated a cross-functional team of earth scientists, petroleum engineers, commercial professionals, and economists to generate alternatives, align partners, and choose how to most efficiently develop a major oil discovery in the Gulf of Mexico. Successfully secured Front End Engineering and Design funding to kickstart the development of the Ballymore field (> $1.5B investment).Chaired the development of Chevron’s first fully remote, internal knowledge sharing event, bringing together thousands of Chevron’s business and commercial professionals to improve decision-making and capital efficiency via dialogue with each other and senior leadership.
