I am motivated by the challenge of helping organizations in unconventional circumstances achieve their potential – for example, rugby in the football hotbeds of Manchester and Glasgow. I find such situations really help bring out the best in me and others to drive collaboration and innovation to create new opportunities for revenue and growth and apply a strategy to win against the odds.Unique in rugby, I am originally from Michigan, USA and travelled to the UK to play rugby at a higher level after finishing my degree at Syracuse University in 1997. I ended up staying a bit longer than my initial plan, but I have built many lasting friendships and unique experiences (generally as the only American in the room) in European professional rugby. People who have worked with me describe me as entrepreneurial, highly competitive and creative, with an ability to create a vision for the future and apply a cohesive strategy toward achieving that vision.
