I am a student at the University of Florida studying molecular biology and genetics, intending to apply for graduate school in the next few years to continue my studies. My goal is to remain in the field of academia and conduct translational research, with an emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases. Mathematical modeling, especially of cellular systems, is particularly interesting to me. As such, I am also pursuing a minor in mathematics (and one in bioinformatics).I currently work in the Ranum lab in the Center for Neurogenetics at the Cancer and Genetics Research Complex.
