This role oversees the general management of the New Construction arm of Amalgamated Group. This role consists of the following tasks and responsibilities:General Management:- Responsible for leading and running all operations of the business inc PM’s, CA’s, Sales & site foremen.- Develop business goals and objectives.- Design and implement business plans and strategies.- Manage business resources and capabilities.Project Management:- Set budgets and prelims required for project startup and tracking.- Assess safety requirements and ensure SWMS are submitted.- Ensure all inductions are completed.- Set up project folder with all relevant documentation including markups, BOQ’s and budget hours.- Assess SOW with site supervisors, CA’s and PM’s- Daily liaising with the site team and client.- Identify potential issues and provide solutions.- Ensure smooth delivery of project including closing of all defects and bring in on budget.- Communicate through PM platforms such as Procore & Aconex.Contracts Administration:- Set up and submit monthly progress claims directly to the client or via Payapps - including on site assessment.- Measure/price/submit variations with markups and substantiated costings.- Sub-subcontract package letting & negotiating for works such as rendering, line marking, wallpaper etc.- SOW review & understanding for all works.Tendering / Contract Negotiation:- Compiling all costings relevant to the trades within the package.- Submit tenders in line with tender requirements.- Negotiate tenders including SOW items and contract terms.- Maintain relationships with all stakeholders.

This role consisted of approx 50% CM & 50% BDM roles including thefollowing responsibilities:Commercial Manager:- Manage a team of Estimators, BDM's & CA's including providing training & development to up-skill the team.- Oversee and review all SOW and subcontracts coming through after tender negotiations from Tier 1 & Tier 2 projects.- Measure/price/submit variations with markups and substantiated costings.- Sub-subcontract package letting & negotiating for works such as rendering, line marking, wallpaper etc.- Oversee CA & PM's to ensure customer satisfaction, project margins and quality control are met.Senior BDM:- Undertake market research and define business strategies.- Build & manage relationships with developers, builders, suppliers & subcontractors.- Manage Tier 1 tendering for painting, rendering, line marking & wallpaper contracts (plus additional services or products).- Manage entire lifecycle of all projects by overseeing tendering through to project teams & their delivery.

This role consisted of approx. 80% BDM & 20% PM roles includingthe following responsibilities:Business Development:- Build & manage relationships with developers, builders, suppliers & subcontractors.- Undertake market research and identify business opportunities.- Manage, train & develop all Estimators & BDM's.- Provide Bluebeam training to sales team.- Manage the business sponsorship of Brisbane Roar including external stakeholder relationships.- Set & manage company wide targets for all sales team members.Project Management:- Set up project folder with all relevant documentation including markups, BOQ’s and budget hours.- Assess SOW with site supervisors, CA’s and PM’s- Daily liaising with the site team and client.- Identify potential issues and provide solutions.- Ensure smooth delivery of project including closing of all defects and bring in on budget.- Communicate through PM platforms such as Procore & Aconex.

- Business Plans, Company Profiles and Quarterly Reports- Managing team of estimators in office, Melbourne and overseas- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies for new and existing clients- Focus on maintaining a client relationship focus- Leading nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets and personal/professional growth- Demonstrating leadership in sales, estimation and design- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs- Liaise with Marketing and Operations departments to ensure delivery & consistency of brand promise- Estimating Tier 1 large commercial buildings since July 2013

- Reading and analysing architectural plans- Undertaking measures of high rises - Undertaking cost analysis and summary for Paint, Render, Wallpaper- Understanding and recommending paint products and systems to various substrates- Suggesting cost savings through products and design changes- Using Bluebeam to digitally mark up plans for builders- Pre and Post tender meetings with clients Contracts administrators & Project Managers- Building relationships with new and existing clients- Entering measurements & costings into estimating software

- Re-structure and update course booklets for students.- Tutor classes of up to 20 students.- Teach design methodologies and technical skills within AutoCAD, Sketchup & Revit programs.

- Produce DA & BA documentation drawings.- 3D design and documentation with Revit & AutoCAD.- Writing project specifications.
