- Develop rugged, electromechanical systems for a novel FDM additive manufacturing solution, collaborating with the Marine Corps to understand and support expeditionary military operations with a 3D printer resistant to extreme field conditions.- Communicated with suppliers to source parts suitable for active deployment conditions, accounting for hardware reliability, electromechanical compatibility and military guidelines, namely MIL-SPEC-810g.- Utilized NASTRAN FEA analysis within Fusion 360 to evaluate factors of safety for system responses to static loads.- Created technical drawings of CAD components for manufacturing and of subassemblies to aid with system assembly.- Supported military systems by quickly designing and printing end-use components in the field, using a range of high-performance thermoplastics such as ULTEM, nylon and composite polymers.

- Assembled hardware for the da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK) and identified additional components needed for basic teleoperation of the endoscope and various surgical instruments.- Configured a custom ROS Noetic-based interface to calibrate and run robotic actuators, referring to previously documented setup methods provided by Johns Hopkins University and other institutions.- Developed detailed documentation to complement original JHU dVRK documentation, tailored towards supporting further research in compliant laparoscopic manipulators controllable by the surgical robotic system.
