Chapter Lead (Omdena Wilmington)
Current**UPDATE: Currently Client-Facing Project for Confidential Non-Profit**In 2023 I was asked by Omdena's VP of Business Development to form a chapter here in Wilmington. At the time my primary concern was my lack of strong connections to emerging talent - with only surface awareness of our local tech ecosystem and its leadership - despite many networks in the region. One year later I have entered an exploratory phase: I am interviewing organizations to determine which (1.) have pressing data needs - and (2.) might best match our criteria in the future as one-time or perhaps repeat partners, (3.) who are open to the concept of developing a talent pipeline via projects (which involve trial/error, learning, and ultimately various levels of success), and (4.) any other potential benefits seen by org. leaders provided they remain within Omdena's guidelines.Additionally In the past year I have met dozens of brilliant local programmers and data experts who might welcome their own affiliation with Omdena's "global-good" brand - while extending their own respective experience and professional credibility.
