Nate Ehrlich is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Architecture at Rice University. Before moving to Houston, Texas, he graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. While attending the University of Minnesota, he studied at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen. His research efforts include a symposium and exhibition on Dutch Complex Housing shown throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. In the years before returning to academia, Nate was an Associate at SALA Architects in Minneapolis, Minnesota, working primarily on single-family residential projects that have won various awards. Nate’s volunteer work includes the construction of the Aardvark Art Shed in Saint Paul, Minnesota’s Western Sculpture Park, which was published in the 2020 May/June Issue of Sculpture Magazine. Outside of architecture, his passions include backpacking and printmaking, the latter of which has been published in the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of City and Regional Planning Student Journal, Panorama - Issue No. 30.0
