Refactored a 32 bit, Win32-only, little endian, ASCII-only, globally locked service into a 32 or 64 bit, cross platform (including Solaris, Linux, Windows, AIX, HP-UX, z/OS, and IBM i on a number of hardware platforms), order-agnostic, fully Unicode enabled, data-congruent server platform (running on multiple concurrent servers, with support for fully heterogeneous environments) over a long serious of one-off initiatives.Designed and implemented entire core libraries and applications framework for SAP MDM suite of servers and applications, including Unicode and i18n layer, serialization and RPC layer, networking layer, threading and concurrency layer, distribution layer, and cross-platform layer.Wrote and enforced C++ standards, code quality and review management systems. Ran weekly presentations and classes on various topics aimed at improving developers' knowledge, skill, and discipline.Built source control infrastructure, including continuous merge across development lines, continuous integration and testing across platforms, merge tracking in SVN (prior to 1.5) with successful migration into post-1.5 merge tracking, private branching (including support for integrated local Mercurial branching) and continuous change/save tracking.

Rewrote web server application (written in "C++" - really C with a few C++ constructs) to function as a persistent resident process, rather than spinning up a C++ runtime and a large, complex C++ executable as a separate process for each web call. Refactored to eliminate resource leaks, fixed access to Oracle DBMS (via OCI), added caching of data for read operations
