As a third-year student, I have found myself drawn to both the scientific study of medicine and the nutritional aspect of healthcare. Pursuing a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics on a Pre-Med track has allowed me to explore both areas of interest, and I have found that my understanding of nutrition has only deepened my understanding of medicine as a whole.While the coursework has been challenging, I have worked hard to maintain a balance between my studies and my personal life. I believe that cultivating a healthy balance is crucial for success in any field, and it has allowed me to approach my studies with a clear mind and a renewed sense of energy.Beyond my studies, I have been actively involved in both my campus community and my hometown community. I believe that getting involved in the community provides valuable networking opportunities, allows for experiential learning, and ultimately makes me a more well-rounded and informed individual.One of the ways in which I have been able to gain hands-on experience and learn more about my future career is through shadowing. Shadowing doctors and other healthcare professionals has given me a glimpse into the daily work that goes into being a physician, and has solidified my passion for medicine.Overall, I am committed to continuously growing my ambitions and pursuing opportunities that will allow me to become a well-rounded and successful healthcare professional. I am eager to see where my academic and personal journey takes me, and am excited for the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of others through my future career.
