Every engineer is a tinkerer at heart. Even after years of experience as a senior architect and VP-level decision-maker, I still love taking things apart and putting them back together. The biggest change is the scale of my work—from squashing user bugs to building custom solution packages to orchestrating global transformations that change the entire structure of our infrastructure.Today, I am a recognized subject-matter expert on cloud, hybrid, and on-prem infrastructure, which includes hands-on experience with network, storage, and compute services. What sets me apart from my peers: I never give up, I’m not afraid of the unknown, and I’m not afraid to experiment with out-of-the-box solutions. Senior leaders rely on my expertise to guide their technical decisions, and I take that trust seriously.Several years ago, FactSet brought me on board to build the cloud team, an opportunity that led to dozens of equally impactful transformation initiatives. In 2020, I was named Technologist of the Year—a recognition given to the engineer who made the biggest impact—for executing FactSet’s strategy for public cloud and hybrid cloud. Although my first priority was developer enablement, the benefits cascaded to virtually all of our employees, customers, and partners. I hope to take on equally challenging projects in the future.
