Jun 2017 - Aug 2019

Senior Developer

Wilmington, Nc, Us

I was a member of a team of developers at CastleBranch that helped write a web-based, microservice-architecture, regulatory compliance software platform from the ground up named CB Bridges. CB Bridges is built with PHP on the Laravel framework. I coded in PHP on PostgreSQL and was mainly responsible for implementing BPMN based workflow processes in the application. However, I got exposure to every part of the app and became a go-to person for debugging really hard problems. Becoming an expert debugger of the CB Bridges software led me into my next position with CastleBranch - DevOps Engineer. Having a deep understanding of the app allowed my to design and build out the environment tiers for CB Bridges. Well, that and because I had previous experience as a DevOps Engineer at LexisNexis. My passion is DevOps because it allows me to help my team in a unique way. I give them stable environments and consistent deployments that really helps them shine as a team. Being part of a team is about something that is more than myself - it's about my teammates. I really enjoy helping others and DevOps gives me the opportunity to do that.

Senior Technical Consultant

Wilmington, Nc, Us

Mar 2015 - Dec 2015

Senior Developer

Alpharetta, Georgia, Us

At IPG, I wrote and maintained web applications for internal use. I coded mainly in PHP on MSSQL Server using jQuery and jQueryUI on the front end. I worked with Ironmq and the Drupal framework as well.I managed our internal ticketing system as well as the Ubuntu Linux server it ran on. I was the development team's code librarian and managed our private repositories at github.com. I became the resident “git kung-fu expert” at helping team members with git and unwinding/fixing their repositories when the other developers made mistakes in git. I was a gatekeeper for my team and managed all source code pull requests from them as well as managed all production code pushes. I developed and maintained a proprietary web app for one-step code deployment to the dev, UAT, staging, and production environments.

Sep 2011 - Feb 2015

Devops Developer/Systems Engineer

New York City, Ny, Us

At LexisNexis, I wrote web applications for internal use. I helped my team develop it's own PHP/MongoDB framework for web app development. I developed an auditing application on this framework for the business managers to audit user account access rights to servers, databases, and applications. The auditing application I wrote saved the company from a multi-million dollar FTC fine and as a result, won an excellence award. Also wrote the front end for the internal CMDB that managed over 5000 devices housed in LexisNexis' on site and remote datacenters. Before being on the DevOps team, I was a Unix Administrator (Systems Engineer) and maintained Centos Linux servers.
