Primary duties include cost estimating, project engineering, project planning, sourcing, job costing, and proposal response/creation for various types of printing, direct mail and other marketing projects, including but not limited to sheetfed offset, sheetfed digital, web/roll-fed digital, variable data programming, digital creative services, in-line and off-line finishing, fulfillment, and digital marketing. The Estimating Department also serves as an expert resource and primary support group for Account Executives and Account Managers.Special projects have included:1) Built a weighted-average calculator for determining overall ink coverage across multiple versions with varying quantities.2) Developed a customizable pricing calculator capable of hundreds of package permutations, complete with a quote letter generator. 3) Overhauled an existing Estimating Reference Manual (30,000+ words), editing and updating the document so it would be a relevant resource for multiple departments.Darwill is a national, integrated marketing company bringing proven direct marketing solutions for companies of all sizes, delivering consistent data-driven results for client acquisition and retention.

Primary duties included account management, customer service, production planning, order writing / press layouts, billing, purchasing paper, and additional sales support functions. Also served as an auxiliary cost estimator. Seasonal duties included overseeing quarterly and annual insurance statement pricing, maintenance of client contacts, project management, and invoicing. Occasional responsibilities included special projects, including an analysis of ink and pressroom costs and a competitive breakdown of vendor prices. Also drafted formal letters to several US lawmakers, arguing against tariffs on Canadian newsprint/groundwood paper (the tariffs were subsequently overturned).

Served as Cost Estimator and Customer Service Manager at The Ink Well. Duties included cost estimating, print and design consulting, job costing, customer service management, production planning, and pre-press supervision. Participated in a manager’s focus group with operational leaders from printing companies across the country, meeting quarterly for two years. The Ink Well was acquired in June 2016, and I facilitated the combination with Riverside Graphics, advised management on transition tactics, and provided ongoing support for existing clients.
