Process Engineering & Teamwork: Microfabrication (9 years) and cleanroom process development.Current: Process integration, in-line quality assurance, process and specification documentation and updates. Prior: MBE operation and maintenance; training others, supervising interns, writing procedures, managing critical group supplies.As a Process Engineer (R&D Process Integration) at Skorpios Technologies, Inc., I work as a core member of the Photonics team to develop, fabricate, and improve the team's products. Working with tool engineers and operators is critical to our success. As a research assistant at UT Austin, I worked to develop and improve scientific and logistic processes for the lab group. I wrote 30+ procedures, and kept these procedures and other group documents updated. For R&D, I developed and improved cleanroom processes such as epitaxial membrane liftoff and transfer, ridge laser fabrication, thin film deposition, wet and dry etching of III-Vs and dielectrics, lithography, and wafer bonding. As a group member, I operated and helped maintain two MBE systems to grow crystalline III-V epilayers, e.g. superlattices and liftoff structures.I have trained 20+ people on two or more lab procedures, and supervised 10 interns at UT. Working with interns and colleagues has strengthened my ability to explain concepts to others, especially with analogies. I was honored to be recognized as a NASCENT Best Mentor in 2016 and 2017. I work well with a partner or team to solve problems, and I can excel on my own. I love to learn about different fields, and absorb information quickly.
