Member of the magnet engineering team where I am responsible for the structural design, development and reliability of superconducting magnets and components for new and existing MRI systems. Led the mechanical design, testing and analysis of a new magnet technology which incorporated the development of a new reinforced composite support structure. Involved in all phases of the product development life cycle; from concept generation through prototype builds, design verification through product validation, production ramp up through install base monitoring. Led product reliability efforts and root cause failure investigations. Supported product quality and safety efforts, lean manufacturing initiatives as well as product and life cycle cost reduction opportunities. Provided technical guidance and mentoring to young engineers.

Involved in numerical and experimental research focused on characterizing the electromechanical behavior of superconducting materials subject to mechanical loads and strain. The goal of our research is to benchmark the performance of superconductors so that they can be more effectively implemented in high field magnet applications.
