Ensure the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is providing accurate financial reporting of the Unemployment Insurance program to State Finance. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Accounting program.

Compiled balance sheets, income statements, booked prepaid expenses, depreciation, entered accruals, billed customers, called on delinquent accounts and created budgets.Created break-even analysis models to project number of clients needed to maintain a profitable program.

-Prepare, analyze and monitor all Medicaid Administrative, Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), and Advanced Planning Document (APD) budgets. -On a monthly basis present the Administrative and MMIS forecast to the Medicaid Division Director and Bureau Director, noting trends or variances in the financial data.-Prepare and distribute fiscal reports to program managers explaining expense to budget.-Prepare monthly forecasts in a complete, accurate, and timely manner. Forecasting the year end General Fund balance, expense and revenue account balances compared to budget.-Review and approved all Administrative, MMIS, and APD contractual agreements for coding and understanding. Monitor and prepare invoices for processing ensuring they are in compliance to the contract and do not exceed the authorized contract amount. -Oversee accounting operations for the Medicaid Administrative and MMIS line items. -Ensure accurate expense and revenue postings in the States FINET accounting system. Create correcting journal entries where necessary to correct errors.-Responsible for the Medicaid Administrative, MMIS, and APD program year end close out activities.

-Collaborate with executive management and program directors to create an annual capital asset budget, revenue accounts budget and payroll budgets by program. -Created cost per unit of service data related to 800 clinical mental health service providers, including over 20 clinical services that span across 50 programs.-Analyzed SG and A expenses and allocated the related cost to clinical services.-Presented cost per service data to executive level management, noting trends or concerns in the cost structure.
