I have worked in a monitoring station for 9 years. During the first year of those 9 years I have monitored CCTV and intruder alarms, liaised with police, guards and members of staff to enable the safety of stores managed by us. I have spent a further 8 years handling technical issues, reducing alarms from analytic CCTV and intruder alarm systems alike, communicated with engineers to fault find and resolve issues on sites across the country, and trained staff on how to do technical work even when they are not technically minded. I have also carried out process reviews and created extensive step by step guides and overseen CCTV and intruder alarm installations for quality and security solutions. I'm currently undergoing manager training to better handle projects and staff, including time and resource management.
