During my time teaching at Pocono Mountain School District, Coaching Volleyball, working as a Summer Camp Counselor at various camps, and being a student at East Stroudsburg University, has provided me with many opportunities to hold several different leadership positions. These positions taught me many valuable lessons, such as benefits, gratification, planning, patience and being a genuine human being. More importantly, majority of my experience I have gained was through teaching at Pocono Mountain East High School, where I was creating and implementing standard-based lessons and assessments, which has developed me into an effective educator. My teaching duties required teaching both 9th grade Physical Education and Health, including some of the following topics; Values and relationships, sexuality, reproductive systems, sexually transmitted diseases, and contraception. Alongside this experience, and while being a student at East Stroudsburg University, I held a summer camp counselor position for 5 years for 200 plus children. This experience required us to build social interactions of school-aged children through weekly themed crafts and activities which created a positive and welcoming environment for all children.
