About Nathaniel Bishop

Provide technical and strategic leadership to the quantum computing research community, understand and guide the future of quantum computing hardware research, recruit and resource talented teams, mentor and develop new researchers and engineers, understand customer requirements, and deliver research results to drive the field forward. Quantum computing research brings together people and ideas from physics, computer science, materials science, electrical and mechanical engineering, and systems engineering. In my 15 years of experience with quantum computing and research management, I'm consistently surprised and delighted as researchers and engineers develop new ideas, and now are building new things using time-tested engineering practices.
