CHAMP project team leader in connection with the $850m public to private of an ASX listed offshore service provider. The company, headquartered in Singapore and operating a fleet of 140 vessels in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Middle East, is one of the leading providers of offshore support vessels to the global oil and gas industry.

CHAMP project team leader in connection with the US$1 billion carve out acquisition of 37 jack up drill rigs and a swamp barge from Transocean International. The company, headquartered in Dubai, is one of the leading operators of jackup drill rigs in the world, with global operations in West Africa, the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia. The transaction, involving the stand up of a new operating company, was financed with the issuance of US$500m of high yield bonds, and subsequently recapitalized with a $350m issuance of hold co notes.

Mr Childres was a Managing Director of CHAMP Private Equity and the head of CHAMP’s office in Singapore with responsibility for the Group’s investment program in Southeast Asia. Responsible for all phases of the investment process, from deal origination and assessment, to investment execution and structuring, portfolio company monitoring and performance management, and exit planning and implementation.
