Me:Handles a diverse client portfolio with multiple coterminous deadlines to deliver customer focused and timely results. Advises clients on immediate and long-term strategy, differentiating needs from desires and referring to SMEs where appropriate. Works with knowledge of criteria and market analysis to advise holistically. Guides clients along journey, signposting and managing expectations throughout. Continuously develops in line with regulatory change. Builds professional relationships in multiple sectors, positioning centrally and strengthening network of all. Understands importance of developing and maintaining meaningful connections.Works with clients with complex requirements and medical history. How I got there:After coming to the painful realisation that my NBA career was failing to materialise I undertook a maths BSc (where I founded the maths society), during which I won the opportunity to undertake a placement year in corporate risk with Lloyds Bank.Exhilarated by the experience I intended to re-enter this world after extending my breadth of knowledge with an MSc. However, whilst undertaking the MSc I became a maths tutor and saw an opportunity to build something greater than myself; a tuition company working with schools to support underprivileged children. Exciting, difficult, rewarding, dynamic and altruistic. I'm in I thought. Risky though it is to start a business, I did the market research and figured it was the best time to act. After building a profitable company that has helped hundreds of children and working with key stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes, I reentered the financial services sector working with clients and their debt requirements before enhancing our proposition in the insurance space. Having done this for several years I have started Business Protected, an insurance brokerage helping the countries SMEs, one policy at a time.
