Regional- to global-scale assessments of glacier mass change rely increasingly on public repositories of observational data, such as the World Glacier Monitoring Service (WGMS) Archive, to which hundreds of researchers contribute. The SFU Glaciology Group has over a decade’s worth of spatial and timeseries data from glaciers in a remote and poorly sampled region of the world that have already been used by the community on an ad-hoc basis. My project involves the development of a robust framework to facilitate organization, visualization and dissemination of these data to the scientific community through official channels such as the WGMS and unofficial channels such as the group’s research website. The project has several components: (1) inventory of existing datasets, metadata and related publications, (2) tagging of datasets by type, time and geographical location, (3) development of derived data (e.g. ablation) from raw measurements where processing is incomplete, (4) formatting data sets into standardized structures, (5) conceptual design of the framework considering user requirements, (6) implementation of the framework using Postgresql, Django, and Python (Jupyter)(7) development of a graphical user interface (GUI) for data browsing.This project will enhance the value of the data collected by the SFU Glaciology Group over the last decade by making it easily accessible and freely available to the community.

Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: end user device management, network and server maintenance, database management, teaching Java within the AP Computer Science A course, observing and responding to student needs, responding to help tickets in a timely manner, audio visual support, setting up and running theatrical lighting and sound

As per my position, I was involved in the sale of supplies to both large scale contracting companies and individual consumers. Involved in order processing and completion of quotes to homeowners.
