Responsible for Road Safety, TRO and Traffic Engineering teams, with the objective of improving road safety and sustainable travel.

Seconded to Gloucestershire County Council and undertook the role of Traffic Engineering Manager.Duties including leading the forming of the new Traffic and Active Travel team, responsibility for the delivery of highway improvement projects to promote active travel.

Managed a team of highway engineers and managed the delivery of high-profile infrastructure and public realm projects through their lifecycle from design to construction including project management through an NEC3 contract. Projects objectives included improving sustainable travel, road safety and enhancing the public realm. Was team leader and member for Road Safety Audits, and produced casualty reduction reports for future road safety schemes. Produced contract documents and maintained strong relationships with stakeholders.

Designer of highway infrastructure improvement schemes which promoted sustainable travel and enhanced the public realm. Provided designs for cycling infrastructure, controlled crossings, junction improvements etc. Duties also included producing contract documents and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and being a team member for Road Safety Audits.

Designer on major highway infrastructure projects including motorways. Work included producing feasibility and preliminary designs, and writing reports; reviewing designs by other consultants and producing Target Cost reports.

Designer of highway infrastructure improvement schemes. Produced contract documents. Assistant resident engineer on ICE contract for a major project.

Produced studies for improvements to walking, cycling and road safety on trunk roads. This included design, analysing collision data and cost benefit analysis.
