 Directed a team of 80 cross-functional employees across four grant and revenue centers, including Gary Youth Services Bureau: Marquette Park, Beach and Pavilion, Gleason Golf Course and Hudson Campbell Sports and Fitness Center.  Maintained fiduciary responsibility for a $1.3M annual Park Department budget and $5M in overall infrastructure projects. Identified and implemented several major departmental policies, long-term programs, and infrastructure improvements.  Supervise interactions & participate in project budgets, completing deadlines, staffing, and project management. Managed all construction, renovation, and operation of City owned park facilities (including $3 million Hudson Campbell Sports & Fitness Center renovation) and supervised all stewardship and maintenance. Improved departmental efficiency and reduced resident complaints by adjusting daily schedules, improving logistics, and partnering with city departments and state and federal agencies. Collaborated with local agencies and partners to secure financial resources to provide summer employment opportunities for 200+ youth. Implemented new policies and captured $60K in revenue when instituting new parking pay structures. Completed a reorganization which reduced office staff and balanced staffing needs with front line staff. Developed, defended, and monitored Departmental budget and controlled expenditures; worked with staff to ensure that resources align with strategic priorities outlined in Parks Master Plan.

 Managed the day-to-day operations of the Hudson Campbell Sports & Fitness Center, a 32-year-old, 80,000 sq. ft. athletic facility run by the City of Gary Parks Department.  Led a team of 7 employees and revised and developed policies, procedures, and best practices that resulted in a 50% revenue increase after the first year.  Drove operations year over year, resulting in multiple years of achieving budget surpluses where the City of Gary secured $3M in federal funding to renovate the internal and external façade of the facility. Developed a comprehensive 5-year marketing plan that resulted in a 50% revenue increase in 2014, and between 5% - 10% every year after. Implemented a facility brand strategy to re-brand the facility to the community and visitors that increased membership from 200-250 members in 2013 to 2000+ members in 2019. Significantly increased and improved the facility’s social media presence to promote the facility to residents and out-of-state visitors. Created and diversified multiple revenue streams to maximize revenue generation, finishing with a budget surplus at the Hudson Campbell every year.
