Here I am. A first-generation American college graduate with a new lease on life! Being first-generation in an immigrant family put massive amounts of pressure on me to succeed. Like many before me, I did not succeed. I didn't take my studies seriously, and didn’t apply myself. I made up excuses and didn’t do the work. This path took me to many unfulfilling jobs. I couldn't support myself financially or give back to my parents who had sacrificed so much for me. I felt that it was too late, and that I was set in my ways, but I was unhappy. I decided to make a change and I discovered that you're never too old to learn. I decided to put the time and effort in so I could reap the benefits.I returned home from Florida, passed my classes, and finished my degree. My struggle taught me that without education and perseverance, your heights are limited, and education is the plane to let you fly high.Now I'm ready to apply my grit, perseverance, and my knowledge of business and sales to the tech world. Now that I’m taking off, who knows how high I’ll fly.
