I am an Environmental Health Specialist with the Marion County Public Health Department. This position has provided me with valuable insights into the lives of citizens within my community. Through my role, I have established connections with a diverse range of individuals, including community leaders, high-ranking officials within the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, court officials, and various representatives from social service programs. These relationships have facilitated numerous opportunities for public outreach and education across diverse communities.In my capacity as a code enforcement officer for MCPHD, I employ various strategies to engage the community and promote compliance. By actively listening to the narratives associated with specific cases, conducting regular follow-ups on progress, and immersing myself in the community, I have found these approaches to be highly effective. As a result, I have fostered trust between the community and the services that MCPHD provides.I am eager to continue my professional journey at MCPHD and beyond.
