Worked at the Costa Rican Permanent Mission to the UN on the Speechwriting team of H.E. Ambassador Maritza Chan Valverde, Advisor to Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian & Cultural Issues), Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization), and UNGA High Level Week assistant. Wrote interventions for the ambassador, participated in negotiations at informal consultations, tracked and summarized UNSC meetings, organized and coordinated events and bilateral meetings on behalf of the ambassador.

Selected as an Occidental at the United Nations Fellow, participating in a full time internship placement and weekly professional development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City

Conducted field research in the state of Santa Catarina Brazil shadowing political campaigns and studying how uneven economic development and foreign dependency has shaped political outcomes today in the region: expanding on a study I designed in my methodology class under Dr. Syeda ShahBano Ijaz. Support for this project was provided by a grant from the John ParkeYoung Initiative at Occidental College.

Managed a team of 80+ Foreign Language volunteers during an interim period of 3 months, coordinating case assignments and document translations for our legal team. I also translated and interpreted between Spanish and English many times when volunteers were unable to pick up an assignment.

Worked at the Champaign County Courthouse in Urbana Illinois, providing patrons with legal information in the form of: help filling out forms, filing civil cases, and translating forms from Spanish to English.

Conducted 150 phone calls to local voters a week, subsequently 'coding' them and entering the data. I also textbanked, worked to secure student votes through organizational outreach, and canvassed in local neighborhoods bi-weekly.

I have reffed adult and children's league soccer around Central Illinois since age 13.
