Began my time in the HVAC industry as a Co-op student, eventually developing my skills and becoming a lead technician. I learnt a lot about the industry from how to operate different equipment and power tools, to troubleshooting knowledge and vital critical thinking skills that I continue to use in daily life. I also learnt about the darker side of the industry, and people praying others who are less knowledgeable to make a quick sale. That is why I've dedicated myself to learning more and more, to be able to pass my knowledge on to my clients so they can make informed decisions when dealing with other technicians who may be attempting to prey on them. I also hoped to instill this way of thinking into other technicians I talked to, to hopefully improve the image of technicians everywhere, and improve relationships between technician and client. Moving forward, once I'm finished my education, I hope to take the skills I've gained in HVAC and apply them to the Networking industry. At Algonquin College in the Computer Systems Technician - Networking course, I've had the opportunity to learn many new aspects about the behind the scenes of how the internet works, and the equipment that allows it to do so. I've been able to apply my troubleshooting skills from HVAC to Networking, understanding that there is an order of operations to things that are happening and being able to recognize when something is happening out of order or not at all.In my free time I like to keep busy, doing home repairs and upgrades, working on my car, and I enjoy cooking and baking.
