Nathaniel Matteson (Nate) is a passionate and loyal person pursuing a career in Sports Management. He draws upon his training and experience starting with becoming an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America, serving as a co-host and producer for an award winning radio show, and currently being Director of Operations for the Watertown Rapids Collegiate Baseball Organization. All of this while pursuing a Bachelors degree in Sports Management at SUNY Cortland.As Director of Operations for the Watertown Rapids Collegiate Baseball Organization he manages a team of 25 people and facilitates the game time operations. Nate oversees the in-stadium entertainment and develops the schedule of on-field activities and other activities that take place during games. Mr. Matteson is in charge of ordering the concession products for the stadium during the season. Nate played a critical role in establishing themed nights for the fans and community members to enjoy. He also has helped the Rapids Organization grow their grass roots marketing efforts through new channels. Mr. Matteson also oversees Ten accounts of clients that are partners.The Home Grown was an award winning weekly, hour long radio talk show co-hosted and produced by Mr. Matteson while he was working on his Associates degree at Jefferson Community College. He assisted the show host with interviewing guests and providing informative, entertaining conversations for listeners. Nate also was an on - air personality on Froggy 97, a very poplar country music station in northern New York State. Nate is a member of the Class of 2019 Eagle Scouts through Scouts, BSA. He partnered with the New York State Office of Parks and Historical Preservation to implement a 1,500 square feet pollinator garden for their visitors to enjoy. Mr. Matteson managed and led a group of 25 scouts and adults with planting and creating this garden. Mr. Matteson worked with the regional architect to plan the garden and order the plants.
