I am the primary patient accounting analyst for Northern Arizona Healthcare. I handle all build in regards to Cerner patient accounting including build and maintenance of claim and business rules, billing entity build, GL mapping, client billing build, health plan build and aliasing, Charge transformation rules, as well as general build and maintenance of Cerner CPM, and Cerner Win32. I am also responsible for our scrubber's ( nThrive Claims Management) custom edits, bridge routines, 837 and 835 enrollment, and provisioning. I work closely with all areas of Rev Cycle to evaluate issues and address the root cause of the issue by either finding a technical solution or addressing the underlying process issue.

As Application Specialist for Northern Arizona Healthcare, I was responsible for transitioning NAH from our Epremis scrubber to nThrive Claims management. During this time I was also responsible for all bridge routines, custom edits, and provisioning of both Epremis and nThrive. I also assisted with implementation of nThrive contract manager. I was responsible for tracking edits, common denials, rejections, and finding a solution by addressing the root cause of them. I worked closely with our billers follow up reps, and Rev Cycle IT to ensure we were as efficient as possible and addressing inefficiencies within our processes. I also assisted in setting up 835 posting and mapping individual health plans to our higher level insurance companies. I continued and completed this work once I transitioned to an Rev Cycle Analyst for NAH.

During my time with central scheduling, I was responsible for scheduling patients for all modalities of radiology as well as Cath lab, PICC placements and several cardiology and neurology procedures. I had to coordinate a patient’s appointment based on the availability of techs, certain doctors, nursing staff, and the preauthorization requirements of insurances on a daily basis. I was also responsible for checking in patients when they presented for their exams and ensured that they were scheduled correctly, seen in a timely manner, and prepped correctly. During my employment I became fluent in the processes and systems of Outpatient registration, Emergency Registration, Radiology front desk, Radiology Scheduling and became very familiar with a wide range of insurances.

I was responsible for answering phones, placing orders, responding to emails, selling products, up selling, and customer complaint resolution for several different brands with hundreds of products. This was very beneficial in helping me learn great customer service skills as well as an ability to assist escalated customers

I was responsible for data integrity, account validation, skip tracing, incoming calls, answering numerous debt and credit reporting questions and the collection of a broad range of third party debts. I was also responsible for posting payments and batch settlements.

I was responsible for data integrity and data entry of client collection accounts. I was also responsible for printing out and mailing letters for all newly entered debtors, as well as processing mail returns and bankruptcies.
