● Investigated ion dynamics above a single and dual radio frequency biased silicon wafer in a commercial inductively coupled plasma etch tool using laser-induced fluorescence (LIF), resulting in a first author publication● Collaborated with the Computational Plasma Science and Engineering Group at the University of Michigan to use experimental data to validate the Hybrid Plasma Equipment Model● Presented research at the Gaseous Electronics Conference and APS Plasma Division technical meetings● Designed a tank circuit for and installed a radio frequency source for a dual frequency bias setup● Operated, maintained, and modified a commercial inductively coupled plasma etch tool and associated vacuum and gas systems● Designed and implemented an optical setup for planar LIF and then developed and implemented deconvolution analysis procedures in order to interpret the LIF signal● Operated and maintained an Nd:YAG and dye laser, alignment optics, and associated fiber optic cables● Developed LabVIEW programs to measure and record laser energy and wavelength● Constructed Langmuir and emissive probes for measuring plasma parameters including electron temperature, plasma density, and plasma potential● Measured and analyzed multiphoton photoemission current from a copper cathode bombarded with ultrashort infrared laser pulses
