About Nathaniel Dean

All of my life I have been designing and building things with my hands and I chose to make that hobby a career as a mechanical engineer. I love my work and I am very passionate about what I do and that drives me to create outstanding results.I am very versatile and adaptable; able to learn quickly and love to tackle new challenges. I am most interested in complex manufacturing processes in all its many facets. I like to experience the build process myself to increase familiarity with the product so that I can find ways to improve the process and to decrease the complexity, resulting in increased output and decreased waste and training time. While working with Applied Materials, I constantly worked on improving the production process to increase throughput in the Atomic Layer Deposition department by 300% during my stay there. From material presentation, assembly process, assembly documentation, workarounds to avoid line down situations, and deep dive problem solving to eliminate problems entirely. I enhanced our quality to the level of meeting the standards of our most strict customers, thus enhancing potential sales notably.I have learned a few different types of CAD programs which come as second nature for me. I also spent several years in the service industry, which taught me excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills, as well as award-winning customer service skills.
