Throughout my time as a student, I have always pursued excellence relentlessly. May aim has always been to ensure that I really understand the material covered. This attitude also extends to my work experience in material testing and characterization.Some of the work of which I am most proud has been team based (e.g., journal papers, capstone design team, student organization leadership), but I am also independently motivated and able to produce high-quality results as an individual. Research allows me to unite my skills and my passions by offering me continuous opportunities to solve complex problems and remove barriers within the defense sector. I firmly believe that if my entire career is spent to bring just one more warfighter home, it would be worth it.My hobbies include: reading (novels and nonfiction), Ultimate frisbee, backpacking, travel, art history, and cooking.I am dedicated to my work and will never stop fighting to make the world even just a little bit better. I look forward the next phase of my career development, fully confident that I can, in fact, make the world at least a little bit better than it was when I found it.
