• Created a build-to-buy self-replicating RNA asset that yielded a >5x return on investment within 3 years; asset sold to one top 5 human health pharmaceutical company and two different top 5 animal health pharmaceutical companies.• Leads Discovery, Preclinical, and Process Development groups and reports directly to the CEO; 30+ FTEs within groups include a mixture of managers, scientists, and research associates for development of internal products or products in collaboration with external partners; managed multi-million dollar annual budgets• Executive team member leading R&D, strategy, portfolio evaluation, and program analysis for RNA and therapeutics platforms for immuno-oncology and infectious disease.• Built drug product pipeline including clinical target selection, preclinical, regulatory and manufacturing strategies, and drafting regulatory documents to support FDA INTERACT and pre-IND filings.• Created translational datasets for 10+ diseases across 5 different species in immuno-oncology and infectious disease including characterization of drug candidates for immunogenicity, efficacy, mechanism of action, biodistribution, and delivery (formulation and devices).• Leads a portfolio of matrixed programs focused on RNA platform technologies with partners including major pharma companies, biotech companies, government entities, and academic labs across infectious disease and oncology; member of multiple joint steering committees.• Led external innovation executing over 20 different asset sales, research evaluations, in-licensing, or development and commercialization agreements across vaccines and therapeutics. Led search and evaluation, tech assessments, resource identification/integration, and operationalization of partnerships to strategically advance technology.• Co-inventor on six patent applications and extensive Know How centered around the creation and delivery of distinct RNA-based platforms for vaccines, therapeutics, and bioproduction.
