I created Flowers and Flowers to address the growing need for eco-certified backyard habitats in urban landscapes. As the company's founder I worked to develop operational systems, advance marketing campaigns, and create pipelines for client on boarding. I developed relationships with 3rd party vendors, and certification associations to sell full service to my clients. This experience taught me the value of adapting a growth mindset in business development, and allowed me to advance my expertise in sales and CRM.

As Field Operations Manager of the Common Good Project, I directed my team to address the root causes of poverty and hunger within the unhoused community. Since its inception in 2021, the CGP has grown under my management to include our ‘Clean The Streets’ program which employs crews of 15 unhoused community members to clean over 100,000 pounds of trash off the streets annually; an outreach program that feeds and clothes 60 unhoused people daily; and the building of strong relationships in an expanding coalition of more than 14 like-minded community organizations. As Field Operations Manager, I worked on the ground to perform field-based hiring, training, safety inspections, and regulatory checks. I also wore an administrative hat, creating roadmaps and operating structures for my team to use day-to-day, as well as long-term program goals and progress reports to donors.

Volunteering for Jim Todd in OMSI's Kendall Planetarium continues to be such a blast! From showing the public all there is in our night sky, to putting on flashy laser shows every month, there is always something exciting to learn about! It certainly helps to be naturally curious in this position, and what isn't to love about space?!? I've been giving my time here on the weekends, so come on by OMSI and catch a laser show!

As a Technical Sales Associate with Next Adventure, I generated revenue through the promotion of luxury recreational equipment. In this role I worked independently to create sales opportunities through demo workshops, product seminars, and sales facing product education. Selling both publicly and B2B, I learned to communicate through multiple avenues throughout the sales pipeline. This experience taught me the value of persistence, patience, and how to carry inbound sales through to completion.

In this role, I was on call 24/7 to advise and manage a residential hall of 30 students. I provided domestic assistance, event coordination, regulatory oversight, and department coordination to create safe, and productive living halls. In this role I developed my skills as a communicator, working with large teams of 12 peer RAs and supervisors to fulfill the duties of my position. I also worked closely with 3rd party vendors, and governmental agencies to provide health services, and wellness checks to my residents. This position taught me valuable soft skills such as active listening, empathy, humility, emotional intelligence, and the adoption of a growth mindset.
