I developed an SOP for RNA isolation and analysis with digital PCR. In addition to this method I have written and optimized several other SOPs. The experimental work I do consists of cell transfections, cell transductions and immunoassays such as fluorescence microscopy, ELISA, qRT-PCR, and flow cytometry. For my experimental work, I design and execute my own experiments which is followed by data analysis, interpretation, and presentation. I collaborate very closely with my colleagues to develop experiments, assays, and interpret data. I organize my data and present it at weekly lab meetings and engage in discussions to design future experiments and next steps. I also managed a project where we used our particle to produce large, difficult to produce proteins for a collaborator. We were successfully able to use our technology to make these proteins which added yet another capability of our particle.Additionally, being at a small company requires me to perform a lot of troubleshooting and problem solving on a day to day basis.
