I led the mathematical analysis of three research projects, two of which are published, and the other still in the writing phase. I made use of the software, Unscrambler, as well as MATLAB and Excel to conduct a large part of work on a project concerned with predicting the aggregation propensity of different mutations to a particular protein. I created numerous models, primarily using PCA to reduce the number of relevant variables, using data with over 200, as well as bootstrapping to gain insight into the population that the data was sampled from. I parsed the results and critiqued the rigor of my methods using cross-validation.My work at Legacy BioDesign also required interacting with subject matter experts in the fields of biochemistry and pharmaceuticals, experience that would be a valuable asset. I prepared reports, gave presentations, and discussed details with these experts in order to produce high quality results. When I was not collaborating directly with others, I was working independently. I was responsible for my own time management and for maintaining a strong work ethic in order to best contribute to the project.

I coordinated instruction with a professor to co-lead a senior level topics course in Hurwitz Theory. I ran a weekly class session where we discussed the material and put together material and questions to discuss with the professor. The notes and feedback which I prepared contributed to a draft of a textbook on the topic.
