This framework focused the broader teams’ efforts to grow the Rentals product to become the #2 online rental marketplace in the US, and it became a new standard growth framework for the Marketplace organization.Influenced Groups ML Teams to pivot their strategy by showing how previous work favorably moved internal proxy metrics but did not impact real-world outcomes.- Orchestrated a small team to get crucial survey data fast, modifying existing survey tooling and ETL to target specific A/B tests.- Made crucial study design decisions like opting to split limited survey count across two different A/B tests, advocating that the ability to compare/contrast was worth the ~30% hit to statistical power.- Communicated analysis to key PM and Eng decision makers, recommending a pivot from existing strategy to addressing technical debt.Convinced the Newsfeed team to un-ship a feature by finding an issue in their A/B test and demonstrating the negative impact to the balance of original and re-shared content within Groups.- Worked with data scientists to find issues with the test design and analysis used to make the launch decision, showing that the impact on engagement was overestimated.- Mined years of posting data and partnered with Eng to run some demonstrative tests to show that lower-value and harmful content was being shared relatively more as a result of the feature.
