Although I'm best known as a primary author of the MIME protocol, which is used over a trillion times per day, and as the founder of the first Internet payment system, First Virtual, I've actually done a little bit of everything -- academic, research lab, non-profit, startup company, big corporation, and nearly everything in between. I specialize in inventing things that are practical enough to see them through to real-world implementation and products. My other skills include team-building, mediation, writing, and public speaking. I have substantial experience with patents and intellectual property.
