• Hosted, wrote, and co-created a biweekly podcast on sustainability science • Produced and researched 60+ episodes, which communicates sustainability in an accessible and engaging matter. Topics included electric vehicles, straw bans, and beach cleanups • Multiple top-ranking episodes in Science across Taiwan, Oceania, and EU• Recorded and prepared interviews with prominent researchers and thought leaders including the former chief of NOAA, the head of RE100, a US legislator, a National Geographic Explorer, the head engineer of Gogoro’s energy network, and many more!

While at ORA I worked on Global Alert: an innovative online tool that increases interaction and connectivity to marine debris by allowing users to report, rate and map plastic pollution levels in their rivers via mobile devices and web-based platforms. This will broaden awareness, aggregate information flow, and spur solutions to reduce plastic debris outflows via the world's rivers.Besides app management, I also helped organize two Plasticity Forums in Hong Kong and Portugal. These events bring together a diverse network of stakeholders across the plastics industry in order to develop more sustainable practices. Across the organization my role involved working on any remote tasks including social media promotion, grant writing, writing, and even presenting on behalf of the organization at two World Bank organized events. The focus of Ocean Recovery Alliance is to bring together new ways of thinking, technologies, creativity and collaborations in order to introduce innovative projects and initiatives that will help improve our ocean environment.

Estimated the economic value of the Kenting National Park coral reefs in Taiwan. Tested multiple rapid assessment formats before ultimately designing a novel online willingness to pay survey.

Professional consulting including: analyzing and identifying capacity building themes throughout a wide array of case studies in China. Facilitating the completion of interviews and research on site in Beijing.

Helping the National Marine Protected Areas Center understand recreation within marine protected areas. Paying special attention to management implications, non-market economic values, and the formation of guiding principles.

Researched the current state of private sector involvement in marine reserves for a book on private protected areas. Falling into three main categories of public-private, hotel managed, and community managed marine protected areas, this information reveals significant promise and potential risk for private marine conservation.

PDP asks the business world to measure, manage, reduce and benefit from plastic waste in order to create a world in which plastic adds value for consumers and businesses without negatively impacting the environment.All types of companies can participate in PDP, whether publically or privately held. The main focus will be on companies in the consumer goods and technology sectors, as well as other service industries such as airlines and hotels that may use or sell plastic-intensive products on a relatively large scale. The PDP will also encourage smaller companies to become involved, some of whom may have new solutions or best practices that could be applied on a larger scale.
