Diagnosed and resolved problems in multiple environments including Debian, Red Hat, Suse, Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008, and 2012. Tested and implemented server monitoring and log aggregation on a 200+ server environment. Responsibilities also included upkeep of server and workstation backups, including the testing and implementation of new backup software. Was also responsible for the live migration of every production server in a redesign and reorganization of rack space.The work environment consisted of a 100 square mile LAN with multiple offsite campuses, and one offsite data backup location. Virtual servers were hosted on 7 VMware ESX hosts and were split with just over 100 windows servers, and 100 Linux servers. End user workstations were made up of 90% Macintosh and 10% Windows operating systems.

Responsible for upkeep of lab equipment for student use in MSDNAA, Linux+, and A+ certification related instruction. Worked with students to better understand methodologies of diagnosing hardware and software related failures. Instructed lab interns in properly supporting student workstations and students as well.Also worked with local nonprofits to get functioning PCs to low income families.
