GIS and Cartography: InternshipMapping the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. The internship was geared toward creating a map of the river, along with access points for the general public and members of the organization. A Water Reporter App was also implemented in order to report pollution, erosion, runoff, and cattle in the water all along the river.The organization's focus is to protect the public's right to clean water in our rivers and streams. The goal is to stop pollution in order to promote safe drinking water, protect healthy river habitats, and enhance public use and enjoyment of our river systems.
