I love the combination of technology and real-world problem solving. At EVS, we are building and delivering a modern cloud Warehouse Management System called mobe3 WMS. Enterprise software has always been so feature forward, giving rise to technologies that can crank out a bunch of screens with a ton of data on them and punting on design. It became obvious after watching the design revolution inspired primarily by Apple, that eventually usability and aesthetic would matter to the business world. And yet even today, most business software is clunky, difficult to use and uninspiring. The difficult part of bringing the design revolution to the enterprise is that many business processes are inherently complex, much more complex than the simple apps you might download in the App Store. Building the mobe3 platform has been the highlight of my career so far. We have succeeded in bringing a design-centered app experience to the heart of the global supply chain. mobe3 is flexible, industrial strength, and customizable with the look and feel of an app that you would expect on a modern smartphone. Users embrace it, it feels natural to them. And the corporate world is starting to understand that good design is good business. Now that we have a great foundation with mobe3, we are working on bringing modern computing power to bear in the warehouse and manufacturing plant. Our cloud architecture allows us to scale up and run warehouse simulations, and enable AI bots to interact with our users. It is a great time to be in enterprise tech. On the side, I love helping to coach and equip entrepreneurs of all kinds. Whether the need is strategy, the blocking and tackling of business or funding and partnership, it is a thrill to help people move forward and see them launch.
