• 2016 Rail IRAD/ATMS Program: Software Lead for a safety critical rail system, reporting directly to the Engineering Program Manager. Led a team of up to 15 software engineers in the spiral development and maintenance of a CENELEC SIL-3 compliant locomotive control unit. Was responsible for day-to-day management and driving execution, entailing: technical oversight of software quality and design maintenance, training new team members on the software product, mentoring junior engineers on best practices, and supporting program management with planning efforts and technical guidance. Regularly interfaced with the System Architect, Subsystem Leads, and Safety Consultants to solve complex technical challenges. Also was responsible for proposing and vetting recommended technical changes to the Program Review Board.

Lockheed Martin, MST, San Diego, CA • 2015-2016 Rail IRAD/ATMS Program: Same role as described above. • 2014-2016 Advanced Technical Leadership Program: Graduated from leadership program after two years of stretch assignments, annual leadership conferences, specialized training, and community outreach. Lockheed Martin, MST, Mitchel Field, NY• 2014 Rail IRAD/ATMS Program: Served as Software Lead to facilitate West Coast program transition from New York. Facilitated knowledge transfer and training of new personnel and fixed defects in the Location Determination and Train Control and Display subsystems. Upgraded software to run on more secure hardware and implemented safety critical firmware for a new embedded I/O processor.• RJAFC3 Program: Designed and led the effort to implement C2 switchover capability and integrating it with COTS WhatsUp Gold (WUG) network management software. Developed sophisticated SQL queries to augment WUG capabilities. avoiding costly custom software. Implemented complex requirements including integration with Link-16 and USMTF ACO/ATO formats. Employed custom WSDL-defined web services for distributed computing. Corrected and closed out a multitude of Problem Reports during Defect Remediation.

• Omnyx LTII IRAD: Upgraded the User Interface of the Omnyx product line, which was used as the baseline for the RJAFC3 program. Implemented and demonstrated an early Proof of Concept for a 3rd-generation leap-frog HMI, which later inspired development of the Panopticon product. Implemented solutions to represent large amounts of C2 data (including data from radars and tactical data links) efficiently to the end user.• ATMS Program: Supported completion of TCC Validator development. Used Embedded C and ARM Assembly to implement Texas Instruments Safety Manual requirements and Parasoft Unit testing (achieved 100% line coverage under budget). Also traveled to Australia to help achieve on-schedule Proof of Concept close-out testing.

• Syun An Program: Designed ManageSoft software packages (including Unix shell scripting and Visual Basic) to install and configure vendor software remotely across a nation-wide System of Systems. Led an international team to install, configure, test, and checkout C2 software at multiple military installations.• Po Sheng Program: Discovered and analyzed root cause and impact of anomalous software and system behavior of nation-wide C2Systems. Developed software system checkout and test procedures to verify operation capability of large-scale systems.

• Increased speed and efficiency of Software-Defined Radio (SDR) by implementing advanced hardware acceleration techniques.• Programmed FPGAs in VHDL to handle simultaneous Direct Memory Access (DMA) requests between multiple CPU threads and a single PCI-X FPGA board.• Improved SDR flexibility and eliminated traditional hardware limitations using FPGA Partial Reconfiguration.• Expanded GNU Radio C++ libraries to support DMA and hardware acceleration.

Worked alone to find locations around the US to set up stations to record broadcasted commercials. Analyzed FM/AM radio propagation in urban environments and installed recording servers in various locations in California and Arizona
