As a Small Business Advisor, I was responsible for a portfolio of over 500 clients across many sectors. I provide borrowing and investment advice for Small Business clients' financial services, including investments and borrowing. Previously, I worked at Ontario Greenhouse Vegetables Growers (OGVG). OGVG is a not-for-profit organization, representing members who grow greenhouse tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers on nearly 3000 acres in Ontario. In my position, I keep up-to-date with current energy and environment research, policy and technology to improve our membership competitiveness.Previously, I completed my Masters of Science in the inaugural Sustainability Management program at the University of Toronto Mississauga. This program provided me with experience in project management, communications, research skills, interdisciplinary knowledge, and equipped me with unique expertise in sustainability from both business and technical perspectives. I am a quick-learner with a diverse set of skills and experience and I am able to apply knowledge in creative and useful ways. My science background and business acumen allows me to effectively communicate ideas between departments or dialogue with stakeholders. I also am proficient in research, and am comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analyses.I have particular expertise in topics such as: energy (renewables, efficiency, electricity systems); climate change (greenhouse gas emissions, role of government, industry, and individuals); policy and regulation (carbon tax, cap-and-trade, energy system management); proposal writing; and, Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance.
