I have three years experience as the Head of Production Budgeting in the film/tv industry preparing budgets for individual production companies taking them from Incorporation to amalgamation back into the parent company. In this role I have prepared detailed budgets in Microsoft excel including all the labour and non-labour costs required to produce a series or documentary for 17 individual projects. In addition these budget packages included formulas to estimate the funding we would receive from both provincial and federal tax credits. In turn, this allows me to estimate the funding we require from a broadcaster to produce the project that they want us to produce be that a series or documentary. The last portion of these budget packages is a cash flow that I complete forecasting when the budgeted costs will be spent based off of a timeline that we establish while working as a team. This role has allowed me to work both as an individual and as part of a team, and grow my interpersonal skills to make me a better member of a team.
