Nate Brouwer President: Operations, Tahoe Board WorksInspired by his surroundings, Nate Brouwer is the creative force behind Tahoe Board Works. As an accomplished designer and businessman, it is Nate’s creativity and zest for life that has driven him to develop a new product in the water sports industry. Nate gets much of his inspiration from the beauty and tranquility of Lake Tahoe. While attending high school, Nate discovered his interest in welding. The craft came in handy as Nate spent approximately five years as the Mountain Manager for Boreal Ski Resort. Enjoying the lifestyle and environment, Nate developed a clothing line for the snow sports industry under the brand name NJB, Nonetheless Justifiable Brand. After 10 years in Lake Tahoe, Nate went back to school to learn more about graphic design. In 2002, he started Lifted Development, incorporating design and identity into clothing which culminated in the development of a duck hunting apparel line that incorporated snow sports technology. It was his curiosity about stand up paddling that led to Nate’s next adventure. With a love for extreme sports, he was intrigued by the serenity of stand up paddling. Utilizing his skills as a craftsman and design experience, Nate began modifying and perfecting a paddleboard that would allow him to paddle easily while enjoying the great outdoors. Nate enjoys his “down” time on his board with his Australian Shepard, Stella.
