I aim to see poor smallholder families come out of poverty, and it all starts on the farm. I began in conservation agriculture over a decade ago but shortly realized it wasn't enough to conserve dead soils. We need to build new, healthy soil quickly with a regenerative approach. This is where green manure/cover crops (not monocrop rotations) come in. A simple, impactful technology for poor farmers with small land holdings suffering from dead, depleted soils. These agroforestry, living mulch food systems are designed to drastically increase in-field nutrient-dense biomass production and nitrogen fixation to decrease labour and inpute pressure over time.

  As an Agricultural Consultant, I collaborate with organizations to empower smallholder farmers to enhance agricultural sustainability and maximize profits. Through targeted strategies focusing on green manure/cover crop systems, I catalyze transformative change in communities facing unprecedented challenges due to soil infertility. My approach involves thorough assessments of project areas aligning implementation strategies with smallholders' needs to inspire spontaneous adoption. I design customized green manure/cover crop systems for the area that consider local market dynamics, cultural preferences, and seed availability for maximum impact.In addition to strategic design, I provide comprehensive training and ongoing coaching for organizational staff, fostering their capacity to drive sustainable practices within communities well into the future. My dedication lies in harnessing regenerative agriculture as a catalyst for social and environmental transformation, ensuring that each project empowers smallholders and revitalizes soil health for an exciting and sustainable future.
